Protecting yourself against this year’s strain Covid is a good idea. We provide the spring and winter covid vaccination programme in Chippenham and our team at Chippenham Pharmacy and Health Clinic is here to help you.

Maybe you are worried about catching covid, or you are concerned about having time off work. Or maybe you just want to make sure you do not pass it on to the more vulnerable members of your family. Whatever the reason, being vaccinated against this year’s strain of covid can give you protection and peace of mind. We give NHS jabs to people who are eligible to receive the vaccination for free along with offering a private service for those who do not fall into the qualifying categories.

The free NHS covid vaccines are available for those who meet the following criteria:

• are 65 and over
• living in a care home for older adults
• aged six months or over in a clinical risk group
• frontline health and social care works and staff working in care homes for older adults

If however, you do not qualify for a free NHS covid jab we can still provide you with a private covid vaccination.

Who shouldn’t have the jab?

Most people can have the vaccines. However, there are a couple of exceptions:

• If you are currently unwell with a fever, you should delay getting the vaccination.
• If you have an egg allergy, speak to your GP or pharmacist before getting the jab.

Follow the process to book your vaccine:

1. Booking open from the 23rd of September 2024
   1. Book via the NHS National Booking System (NBS) or call NHS 119
2. Select our pharmacy from the list of locations
3. Choose a date and time that works for you.
   1. You will be able to book appointments from Thursday the 3rd of October 2024
