Chaperone Policy
This pharmacy is committed to providing a safe, comfortable environment where patients and staff can be confident that best practice is being followed at all times and the safety of all is of paramount importance.
What is a chaperone?
A person who is present during a consultation or procedure to safeguard against allegations or risks of inappropriate behaviour (verbal or physical) for both patients and pharmacy staff.
You are entitled to have a chaperone present during any procedure or consultation.
The chaperone can be a relative, friend or a trained member of the pharmacy team. Note, that the pharmacist may ask for a chaperone to be present during certain procedures. You can refuse a chaperone at any point and a chaperone can be asked to leave if you require privacy.
Would you like a chaperone?
Please tell the member of staff when booking a consultation or procedure to avoid delaying your appointment. If a suitable chaperone is not available, we may reschedule your appointment.
If you have any questions, please speak to a member of our pharmacy team .
