What Is the NHS Pharmacy First Service?
Pharmacy First is an NHS-funded service designed to make it easier for patients to get professional help for minor health conditions. Instead of waiting for a GP appointment, you can simply book a consultation with one of our pharmacists.
If your condition falls under the Pharmacy First scheme, our pharmacist can:
- Assess your symptoms
- Offer expert clinical advice
- Provide NHS treatment or medication (where appropriate)
- Refer you to your GP or another service if further care is needed
This service is completely free for eligible patients under the NHS.
Conditions We Can Treat Under Pharmacy First

- Infected insect bites
- Impetigo (a skin infection)
- Shingles
- Uncomplicated urinary tract infections (UTIs) in women aged 16–64
